I (Shanee) have been going through a season of tiredness, lack of motivation, and just feeling "numb" and unengaged from life, relationships, and the work. Thankfully, over the last couple weeks, God has been bringing me out of that season, and I want to share so that others can get out of their season faster than I did! In this episode, I share some "red flags" of unhealth to watch out for, 5 potential causes for a season of like this, and biblical solutions for every cause.

Many people (understandably!) struggle with the reality of hell as a place of eternal torment for those who do not trust in Christ. How should we live with such a sober reality? Is it "fair" of God to send people to hell? Why is a biblical understanding of hell essential for all believers, and especially missionaries? What is a right response to the reality of hell? Prayerfully listen in to part 2 of our "Are You Convinced" series.
- The Dalit Background of South Asian Islamby nocousinsleft2282 (Blog – No Cousins Left) on May 28, 2023 at 3:02 pm
It is well-known that Islam in South Asia has a structured caste system (there is even a Wikipedia article about it!). I contend that the caste issue in Islam is essential for those seeking to share the gospel with the Muslims of South Asia. In brief, it seems that lower-caste Muslims have been the mostContinue reading "The Dalit Background of South Asian Islam"

- Ten Ancient Manuscripts of the Qur’anby nocousinsleft2282 (Blog – No Cousins Left) on May 20, 2023 at 10:12 pm
Recent research indicates that the Qur’an has thousands of textual variants and changes. In fact, the Qur’an that is used today around the world does not seem to be based on the ancient manuscripts, but rather on oral transmission through Hafiz. The result is that the Qur’an that is used today has faced changes. IfContinue reading "Ten Ancient Manuscripts of the Qur’an"

We are continuing the discussion on missionary identity. Embracing our foundational identity as a beloved of child of God is transformational AND our functional identity as sent-ones is important, God-given, and dear. How do we fight unhealthy comparison on our teams? The Bible gives us clear answers - listen in! (Access the identity teaching […]
- Where Does My Worth Come From? Discussing Missionary Identity with Seba Vby coworkersstudy@gmail.com (Seba, Jesse) (The Coworkers Podcast) on April 24, 2023 at 6:00 am
Many times it is hard for us missionaries to know our source of identity and worth, and in this episode field worker and leader Seba V from London shares a useful teaching on missionary identity. All missionaries share 3 common identities: We are all God's creation, God's child, and God's missionary. Our worth, value, and righteousness come ONLY through our identities as God's creation and God's children, which are our unchanging, foundational identities. Being a missionary is a functional […]
